First time weve stayed here we normally do premier inn but wanted to try somewhere a bit more up market has it was our wedding anniversary so choose doubletree we new it would be a bit different with covid the place was very clean but the bed was not comfortable two nights of restful sleep gutted breakfast was interesting too as the hotel is connected to Marco Pierre White we was expecting a out of this world breakfast we was disappointed waitress explained that with covid things are a bit different which we expected but it should not have effected the quality of the food apparently its normally buffet style which we new that given covid that would not be the case we marked off on a menu what we would like and then it was brought to us my husband got his first it looked ok but the hash brown was cooked that much it was hollow inside and the breakfast was just warm 10 minutes passed and I still hadnt got mine but the waitress was nowhere to be seen but I caught her just has she was flying through to clear a table please can I have my breakfast oh yes sorry she said and she came back with it very disappointed but understood how busy she was in this very different way of working which she said to us a few times day 2 breakfast was much better and the service was too the waitress wasnt has flappy and seemed to be more in control and we even got some jam didnt feel that it was worth what we paid so next time it was be the premier inn very comfortable beds and great breakfast, We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.Pros:Very cleanFriendly and helpful front of desk staffCOVID secure- rooms were cleaned down and had extra measures in placeBREAKFAST:They offered a very good service here- they had tea and coffee for yourself to collect, and same with fruit, snacks, etc: because if covid they offered hot food but you were served by an employee to ensure nothing was contaminated.CONSLack of towels in the roomShower was great, but the floor gets soakedWould definitely stay again, This is the version of our website addressed to speakers of English in the United States.
